The village is famous for many archeological finds. It is located in a flat Hornad´s valley in the north-west part of Slovak Paradise. The first written reference is from 1279 when it was a member of „ Association of Spis´s Saxons“ and in 1465 the village was a possession of Spis castle. You can visit nearby ruins of medieval castle „Zelena hora“ from the middle of 13rd century which was severe demaged in 15th century. Original citizens had been working at agriculture, brewing, timber trade or at metallurgy.
